Do they stay at the same consistency?

The cold drinks do, for up to 24 hours.
The hot drinks do thicken as the hot water cools. But you can still drink these when cold. Especially the Lemon Tea and Hot Chocolate which are like puddings when cold.
Can you add anything to the drinks?

If you want to add sugar to the hot drinks add it before adding the hot water to make sure that it dissolves properly.
As an alternative to adding water to the cold drinks, you can use lemonade or sparkling water. These taste great and give the drinks a whole different dimension.
But you must be very careful when adding them because the thickener can cause the drinks to fizz up and overflow the cup.
Does the thickener affect the taste of the drinks?

We mask the taste of the starch by using strong but not overpowering drink flavours. It is therefore undetectable in all but the Category 3 drinks.
Do they leave a gritty texture on the teeth and tongue?

Slő Drinks starch is formulated to dissolve very quickly and so doesn't leave any residue on teeth or in the mouth.
Do you need to add any more thickener to the drinks?

No. The thickener is already in the cup with the drink flavouring so that it can be made to the same safe consistency.
Are they suitable for anyone and any swallowing condition?

The drinks are made with ingredients that are virtually free of all know allergens/intolerances and are suitable for all types of diets and religious needs.

All of the drinks are available in multiple consistencies. The cold thickened juice drinks at 3 different consistencies and the hot drinks at 2 consistencies, so they can be used for the management of all types and degrees of Dysphagia treatment.

Slő Drinks are very smooth because the thickener is mixed with the drink flavouring before water is added and the thickener is prevented from bonding together in lumps.
I can still get lumps following the preparation instructions?

A few attempts will solve any problems you have. The key is to mix the dry ingredients thoroughly before you add the water, for at least 10 seconds. Then add the water slowly whilst still stirring, remembering to push the stirrer right into the corner of the cup.
Why are they called Slő Drinks?

Those that need these types of drinks feel uncomfortable asking for a thickened drink. This is due in part to the patient's condition, (the fact that they need thickened fluids), and that they had to say the term: thickened drink.
We therefore created a name for the range that suggests a fluid moves slowly, which is positively perceived and easy to say...Slő Drinks?
